I recently launched a Pinterest account for Bummel, and I wanted to share why — and how it fits naturally into what I make.
Bummel has always been about road cycling, minimalist illustration, and a touch of light, self-aware humor. Pinterest felt like the right place to bring all of that together visually, without noise or pressure.
Road cycling is repetitive, quiet, and intentional. You notice small details: the curve of a handlebar, the color of a jersey against grey asphalt, the rhythm of the ride.
Pinterest works the same way.
It’s not about reacting fast or chasing trends. It’s about collecting, saving, and coming back later. That mindset aligns perfectly with how I design cards — slowly, thoughtfully, and with a focus on simplicity.
The Bummel Pinterest account is focused entirely on road cycling culture, through a minimalist and slightly humorous lens.
Some boards feature my own work, others are pure inspiration — visuals that influence future designs.
If that sounds like you, you’ll probably feel at home there.
If you’d like to explore the visual world behind Bummel — beyond individual cards — you can now find it all on Pinterest.
I’ll be adding new pins regularly as new designs come out and as cycling continues to inspire the work.
Thanks for riding along 🚴
